Ella Snell is the Founder and Director of Art School Plus, which she established in 2022. She did so because fine art graduates are the least likely of all graduates to work in employment related to their professional training. In addition, there is also ample evidence that gender, ethnicity and socio-economic factors negatively impact the career outcomes of art graduates.
Along with her industry leading team of advisors, freelancers and contractors, she believes incredible artistic talent is being wasted, and that public realm projects and artworks would hugely benefit from the perspectives and practices of these artists.
Ella is a visual arts expert having worked for the internationally renowned artists Sir Antony Gormley and Yinka Shonibare CBE. She is also a Henry Moore Foundation Trustee and Access and Participation Advisor for City & Guilds Art School Board.
Ella recently spent six years heading a programme at the British Library, which focused on community engagement and public commissions, before setting up Art School Plus.
